うららかな３月の昼下がり。街行く人達の服装もここ数日は、厚手のコートやジャケットから薄手のシャツやカーディガンなどの軽やかな春の装いに変わっていた。

Loki didn’t bother turning around at first, but the smell of white amber soon aroused his curiosity. He craned his neck around and jumped as a small child unceremoniously plopped downin fron of the bars, grinning ear to ear.

“Hallo!” Fyr said breathlessly. Her face was beet red and she was gasping for air. A fine sweat was beading on her forehead. “Wheeeew. That was a long run.”

“Hello,” Loki replied scratchily, stiffly turning around and crossing his legs. He weakly smiled as well; it was hard not to when such a sweet child was so happy. “Why so excited?”

A few hours later, the four of us -- Tifa, Jack, Skall, and myself, to clarify -- were standing outside the outpost's hatch entrance. The sun was just beginning to disappear from the horizon, allowing us optimally low visibility.
For our assault, I had chosen to bring my combat knife, a silenced Kleiner handgun, and a few explosive gel capsules. Tifa carried her crossbow and what was either a large hunting knife or a machete, I don't specifically remember which. Nine - Chapter 12Scientists gathered behind Five and Nine. They readied some sort of machine and put a dart inside.  The scientist raised the gun to his head and pointed at the back of Nine’s back.  He pulled the silent trigger, sending a quick shot to Nine’s back.
Nine hissed as it collided with his shoulder blade.  Five’s head rose as Nine began to wobble back and forth in his arms.
“N-nine?” Five choked out.  If Five didn’t have the lads in his arms, he would’ve collapsed face first into the cement floor.  Five could barely support Nine’s weight, and rested him on the ground.  He shook Nine by the shoulders.  His voice was barely audible.  “Nine.  Nine!  Wake… wake up.”
One sat up from the wreckage, pure anger in his eyes.  Five’s attention turned to him as One sat up.  A few scientists walked over to help him up, but he brushed them off, muttering under his breath.

Yami Chapter 9-~How She Came to Be~

2012…
Akio's body started shaking just as badly as Iris did before. Hela slowly moved her hand from his chin to his choker. Iris then realized what she was doing to Akio. She attempted to break free from the hypnotized civilians but she still couldn't do so. Hela ripped off Akio's choker.
Akio's eyes widened, "No…no, you can't do…t-this…"  He said slowly.
Hela started to squeeze the chocker hard. The chocker then shattered into several tiny pieces.
Iris' eyes widened. "NO!" She yelled out.
Akio stopped shaking. His eyes slowly turned light red. The hypnotized civilians let Akio go. Hela let go of his hand as well.
"This is a true blood bond!" Hela said.
"No, Akio!!" Iris cried out.
Akio didn't respond. He walked up to Iris, took out his nun chucks, and hit Iris in the head. He hit her hard enough that she started to lose consciousness. "A-Aki…o…" The hypnotized civilians holding her captive let go of her and Iris fell to the ground, unconscious.
Hela smirked, "First me, then your parents, and now your new best friend…shame, oh what a shame that you have to lose so many people. Especially to…vampires."
Akio and the hypnotized civilians all stood near Hela, and they all disappeared into the night.

2004…
Two days after Hela died, two scientists entered the room where Hela's body was being held at.
"Are you sure we want to do this, Roth?"
"Of course! People have always dreamed of being immortal or bringing their lost loved ones back to life. We can accomplish that right now, and make history!"
"What if something goes wrong? We're not even supposed to be in here!"
"Nothing will go wrong, Syrus! I made sure of it!" Roth took out a syringe that was of a dark red color. "I know this girl's friend was very depressed when she died…let's bring her back."
Roth inserted the needle into Hela's neck. Hela's eyes suddenly opened and she gasped for air as the syringe slowly entered her body. "It's working…" Roth said.
"I don't believe it…are we actually creating a miracle?" Syrus wondered.
Roth removed the needle and looked at Hela. "Hello? Can you hear me?" He asked her.
Hela sat up from the bench that she was laying on. She looked at Roth and Syrus and grinned.
"R-Roth…why's she looking at us like that?" Syrus asked nervously. He started to back up.
Roth ignored Syrus, "Good! You're responding quite well. You were actually just a test subject to-AAAHHH!!"
Hela had leaped on top of Roth and dug her teeth into his neck. The sound of drinking was the only sound in the room. Syrus started to shake, and tried to run out of the room. Hela appeared in front of Syrus her eyes glowing blood red and her face and clothes covered in Roth's blood, "Thirsty…I'm…thirsty…" She said, and then dug her teeth into Syrus' neck.

2012…
Iris woke up a couple hours later. She noticed that no one alive was around. She slowly got up and returned to her apartment. She flopped on her bed, then started banging her fist against the wall, "DAMN IT!!"
